Birthstone Mermaid: Sapphire

Put your hands (or fins, whatever works) together for number nine of the Birthstone Mermaids. This is Sapphire, the official birthstone of September.

Sapphire is considered the most beautiful of the twelve (next to Diamond), and as a result, merpeople refer to her as "the Princess." This also attracts unwanted attention from paparazzi. As weird as this may sound, they're just as annoying under the sea as they are on land. Sapphire's dark blue colors helps her evade them in dark places. Let's see land-based celebs try that maneuver.

Sapphire and Diamond are very close, hence the veil around her waist (albeit shorter) and the bracelet near her shoulder. The wing-like fins on the side comes from Yu-Gi-Oh's Guardian Kay'est. The frontal fin was added for style.

She's smiling because I know some of you are September babies. The Mermaids Club is a fine example.
